invited to submit abstracts either as an oral or poster presentation. Submitted
abstracts will be peer-reviewed and assigned for oral or poster presentation.
Abstract submission must be done through the symposium website at www.isos-xv.org.

1. Deadline for Abstract Submission: February 29, 2008 |
| | - Abstract Submissions are now being accepted.
- Abstracts must be submitted and presented in English. |

| 2. Notification of Acceptance: March
31, 2008 |
| | The presenting authors of abstracts
will receive a letter regarding the status of their submitted abstract. It is
the responsibility of the presenting author to inform the other authors about
the status of the abstract. |

| 3. Withdrawals / Changes |
| | Withdrawals or changes will not be possible after February
28, 2008. |
|

4. Publication |
| | Abstracts accepted for
presentation (either oral or poster) will appear in the symposium book, and all
accepted authors must pre-register for the symposium. |

| 5. Method of Abstract Submission
|
| |
| 1) | Review the "Guideline for Abstract Format
" and all instructions before completing the online form .
|
| 2) | Click on the "Abstract Submission"
button. On the page that appears, enter all personal information & attach
the abstract in the appropriate boxes. | | 3) |
Be sure to provide all requested information. Check your information, your ID(e-mail
address), and password carefully before clicking on the "Submit' button.
After submission, an automatic abstract submission confirmation and your ID(e-mail
address) and password will be sent to your email. Please save or print the confirmation
letter for any questions regarding your abstract. Use the issued ID(e-mail address)
and password to edit your abstract before February 28, 2008. | | 4) | Do
not submit the same abstract more than once, either electronically or by mail.

your abstract after February 28, 2008, pleas contact the ISOS-XV secretariat directly. | | | |

| Guidelines for Abstract
Format |

All
abstracts will be published as submitted. The authors will be responsible for
accuracy and layout. A sample abstract is available on this page. |

The abstract must be written in English (font: Times New Roman; spacing: 1.0 line)
- Print must be black on white A4 paper fitting into a space of 11cm (height)
and 17.5cm (width)
(margins
left/right 1.75cm) including references and acknowledgments. |

The heading of the abstract must include the following.
All
the following items must each be centered and separated by a blank line (1.0 line). |

| 1) | The title of the abstract in CAPITAL
LETTERS, printed in bold 12 point font. | | 2) | The
name(s) of the author(s) printed in 12 point font. The name of the presenting
author will be underlined. | | 3) | Institution
(University, Institute, or Company) and full mailing address in italics.
In the case of multiple addresses, a superscript ¡°a¡± should be used to indicate
each author¡¯s address. | | 4) | The
e-mail address presenting author. | |

The body of the abstract must include the following. |

| 1) | The font should be 11 point font. | | 2) | You
may add formulae, tables, and images (gray scaled with white background). | | 3)
| References will be typed as superscript numbers in the text. | | 4)
| Acknowledgements will be typed after the references. | |
